This is the project I am the proudest of. I produced it with my good friend and aspiring filmmaker, Jack Rickman. This was a high school project called "It Was a Dark and Stormy Night." Jack wanted to go above and beyond with it, and since I had previous experience with large-scale short films, he asked me to help produce it.
This movie won "Best Film" at our high school award show.
This film received an $80k grant through the city of Denver and gave our high school film program a bunch of new gear that can help create a large, lasting impact on future generations of aspiring filmmakers who go through the same filmmaking program we went through.
A mentor I have has a saying, "Leave wherever you go better than you found it." I do my best to do that wherever I go. Often, I don't know if I succeed. However, I can say with full confidence that I was able to leave my film program better than I found it through my work on this project.
